SECO International

Continuing Education Program

SECO International has been providing world-class education since 1924. A not-for-profit organization, SECO is widely acknowledged as a leader in producing innovative optometric continuing education for the entire optometric team. The SECO 2008 conference offers more opportunities for CE than ever before — nearly 400 hours of continuing education for the ophthalmic community, supported in part by leading corporations in the industry.

This year's education program is designed for eye care professionals who require a wide variety of continuing education courses from which to choose. The courses offered during SECO 2008 will challenge attendees to Raise the Bar through education and expand their skills as practitioners, as well as increase their practice profitability. The program theme is a timely predecessor to the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. It is SECO's hope to inspire attendees to meet the challenges of their profession and achieve even greater practice and professional success.

SECO International produces quality education courses that may be submitted for continuing education accreditation towards professional licensure of major ophthalmic agencies. Courses are organized into three programs, which target individual needs. Within the optometrist program, the allied ophthalmic professional program and the optometry student program, these educational courses may be further separated into educational tracks that focus on one topic carried throughout several courses. Each course is designated with a unique three-digit number, and when applicable, brief description and accreditation information to assist registrants in selecting the right courses to suit their needs.

SECO encourages attendees to read course descriptions thoroughly and choose the education that best meets their professional needs. SECO also recommends that attendees be familiar with licensing requirements for any licenses that they possess.
